New Company, SEAL? Boats USA, Launches line of Aluminum Boats to Compete with Inflatables
Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) February 3, 2008 -- In a show of confidence virtually unheard of in today's boating environment, Seal Boats USA Inc. today announced the launch of the company's initial line of all-aluminum boats, designed as an alternative to the inflatables currently in use as yacht tenders.
SEAL (which stands for SEA ALuminum) Boats USA was formed by President Jordy Anderson specifically to design, manufacture and sell the patented line of unsinkable craft directly to yacht owners, captains, fishermen, sports boaters, rescuers, law enforcement, military and others.
"After years of owning inflatables, I had one too many experiences with boats deteriorating and becoming unseaworthy," said Anderson. "The last time, I had an inflatable go flat in about a minute as it sat on my trailer after a week on the Okeefenokee Swamp. I was alarmed at the possible repercussions had the mishap occurred while on the swamp. I decided right then and there I was going to find a better solution to inflatables."
Ten years later, Anderson has two design patents on SEAL Boats and has created a line of boats for virtually every purpose usually filled by inflatables. Made of extremely high quality marine and aircraft aluminum, the boats are welded rather than bolted for both safety and appearance. The sponsons are entirely filled with Coast Guard-approved flotation to make the boats unsinkable. In fact, rigorous Coast Guard testing (which inflatable are not required to undergo) proved the boats very difficult to capsize or flip over even under huge loads, making them not only safer but also more useful in many circumstances.
SEAL Boats are precisely engineered using the most advanced computer aided, parametric solid modeling and the all-aluminum hull is cut by water-jet to ensure precise fitting of all parts. No rivets or bolts are used in the hull construction and sharp objects such as knives, cleats, fishing gear, boots, docks, oysters and bottom objects are not a problem for these boats the way they are for inflatables. In addition, SEAL Boats are self-bailing and the welded aluminum construction requires almost no maintenance -- you don't even have to hose them down if you don't want to.
Currently available in 10.0', 12.0' and 14.5' sizes, the Tender line includes tiller models and the 14.5' size is also available with a center console. There are four boat finishes available including natural unfinished aluminum, regular powder coating in almost any color, metallic powder coating in a choice of colors and Gator Tuff® rubber coating in many colors.
SEAL Boats USA is located in Sarasota, Florida. The company is dedicated to providing these unique boats directly to the customer and the boats are not available through retail outlets. The Tender line introduced today will be joined later this year by a Work Boat line with models from 10' to 39' and a Yacht line with models from 21' to 39'.
